What Is the Difference Between A1, A2, B1 and B2?
German levels show how much a learner can understand and communicate.
A1
Beginner level: introductions, numbers, simple questions and basic daily language.
A2
Elementary level: routine situations, simple descriptions and more everyday vocabulary.
B1
Intermediate level: opinions, experiences, longer texts and many pathway conversations.
B2
Upper-intermediate level: stronger academic, professional and interview communication.
